In sectors where remote work is an option, hybrid work has become commonplace and is widely predicted to be here to stay. This huge shift in work pattern, allowing employees to combine remote work with time in the office has been readily embraced. Few will miss the drudgery of a daily commute, and many appreciate the convenience of being able to choose their work setting depending on whether their day is about collaboration and social interaction or focused work, or having that bit more flexibility to juggle personal and work life demands. Hybrid work also comes with challenges and like any change, requires adaptation and a rethink of old habits which may no longer serve us.
What it covers:
In this practical and interactive session, we will be looking at the health and wellbeing aspects of hybrid working: what it means for our daily habits around nutrition, movement and exercise, the use of technology and the challenges of switching off, and the implications for our mental health:
- How to create a positive morning routine
- Meal planning and preparation tips
- Setting healthy boundaries and taking time to switch off and recharge
- Building exercise and ‘movement snacks’ into the day
- TLC for the mind: from self-care to mini digital detoxes
- Evening and pre-sleep routines
Participants will come away from this session with renewed inspiration to make the most of the advantages of hybrid working for optimal health and wellbeing and increased awareness of any pitfalls and how to avoid them. We will also be sharing a range of additional resources including recipes and visual posters filled with ideas and tips for practical application.
