Wellbeing Programme Planning
Plan ahead and deliver positive results for both employees and organisation.
Why
plan
ahead
Forward planning is essential to ensure that your programme of wellbeing interventions is as effective as possible, and delivers positive results for employees and the organisation.
We recommend planning 12-months ahead, however for organisations starting on a wellbeing journey, it might be more feasible to plan for shorter periods initially, quarterly for example.
This way you will be able to gather feedback and insights and adjust your programme accordingly.
Why is wellbeing programme planning important?
- Planning your wellbeing programme in advance allows you to gain clarity on your priorities for the period ahead and ensure a well-balanced programme of interventions.
- Having a plan in place means that you will be able to communicate it to all of your stakeholders who will influence the success of your programme: senior leaders, line-managers, wellbeing champions and other areas of the business which may offer support, such as your internal communications team. And most importantly, employees and colleagues who are more likely to engage with your programme by knowing in advance what’s planned.
- Finally, planning will remove a lot of unnecessary pressure from you as the wellbeing team or lead. By setting realistic expectations for other stakeholders, you will be in a position of setting important boundaries around the wellbeing team’s workload, and focus your time and resources on the things that matter.
