Menopause awareness intro Web Banner

Although much has been done in recent years towards addressing the taboo around menopause a, there is still a lot of work to be done to build awareness and understanding around this issue. If you are looking to create a more menopause-friendly workplace, this menopause awareness at work session provides an introduction to the topic for managers and colleagues.

Almost a quarter of women leave their jobs because of the symptoms they suffer during the menopause, from sleep problems to anxiety and memory issues. The problem is only made worse when discussion around the topic is not encouraged. Employers are now acutely aware of the impact this has on their workforce and are prioritising steps to create a more supportive and open work environment for women during this phase of life.

We’ve designed this introductory session to provide essential insights and awareness around menopause at work, along with some initial practical steps participants can take to support colleagues and team members. The session is available in two different versions, one aimed at managers, and one designed for more general access to employees and colleagues.

What the session covers:
  • Key facts you may not know about menopause in the workplace
  • Insights into the experience of the menopause, symptoms and issues involved
  • How to have open and honest conversations around a sensitive topic
  • Dos and don’ts for supporting colleagues
  • Useful resources for managers and employees
