About This Research Briefing
A lot of organisations invest in workplace wellbeing without seeing a clear return. Outcomes are notoriously hard to measure, partly because there’s a lack of clarity on what good looks like from the start.
We went directly to the people who hold the budget and carry the accountability for wellbeing: senior leaders across sectors, from SMEs to global organisations. In-depth interviews revealed a picture of workplace wellbeing that’s more complicated and more nuanced than the conventional narrative allows. A large-scale quantitative study then tested those insights, and the results are striking. Belief isn’t the problem: more than nine in ten leaders see wellbeing as critical to their organisation’s success. Yet very few say it is truly embedded in how their organisation runs, and the priorities they rank highest and lowest may surprise you.
At this briefing, we’ll present the findings from both phases of the research. We’ll also be joined by senior leaders who will discuss the practical implications for organisations and how they should actually be approaching wellbeing: not the theoretical version, but the one the evidence supports.
