Work-Related Stress and Psychosocial Risk Assessment for Health, Safety and Wellbeing Managers
Work-related stress and psychosocial risks are now among the most significant health and safety challenges facing UK employers. With regulators sharpening their focus and employees expecting more, Health, Safety and Wellbeing Managers need the confidence and competence to manage psychosocial risk with the same rigour applied to physical hazards.
Our Work-Related Stress and Psychosocial Risk Assessment training equips managers with the practical knowledge and skills to identify, assess and manage work-related stress and psychosocial risks, and to embed a proactive, prevention-led approach across the organisation.

Why it matters
Work-related stress, depression and anxiety account for a significant proportion of work-related ill-health cases and working days lost in the UK each year. Recent cases, including investigations into the University of Birmingham and East of England Ambulance Service NHS Trust, show that the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) are making psychosocial risk a regulatory priority, and ISO 45003 has raised expectations for what good practice looks like.
For Health, Safety and Wellbeing Managers, the question is no longer whether to assess psychosocial risk, but how to do it well. This course provides a clear, defensible and practical approach that supports compliance, protects people and drives measurable improvement.
Complementary training
This course can be paired with our Mental Health Awareness Training to ensure that risk assessment findings are matched by the human skills needed to support employees day-to-day.

Trainer:
Dr. Carolyn Yeoman
Organisational Psychologist
Nearly 30 years in psychosocial risk and stress management. Former Principal Psychologist at the HSE and co-author with Professor Sir Cary Cooper. Carolyn’s approach is evidence-based, participative and practical.
